Military commander loyal to STC killed in Aden

ADEN, June 8 (YPA) –  A high-ranking military commander loyal to the UAE-backed Southern Tractional Council (STC) has been killed in southern port city of Aden, local sources said on Monday.

According to the sources, unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle assassinated the Colonel Fadl al-Garassi in the Sheikh Othman district.

The gunmen fired at him, killing him on the spot, and fled the scene, one of the sources said.

The killing of Colonel al-Garassi is the second in two days, in which unknown assailants assassinated a prominent photojournalist in the city.

The city witnessed yesterday evening an assassination of a citizen in the same directorate in a new indication of the expansion of the insecurity and the return of assassinations between the factions of aggression and its armed militias.
