STC about to overthrow Islah’s most important camps in Abyan

ABYAN, May 17 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias had taken control of strategic locations near the most important camps of “Islah Party” in the coastal city of Shoqra in Abyan province, local sources reported on Saturday night.

Pro-STC activists circulated photos on social media platforms, earlier in the day, showing the STC militia near Qarn al-Klassi camp of Islah.

They explained that the field leader in the so-called “al-Asifa brigades” of the STC Mohammed Ali al-Kazmi al-Khulaifi, was wounded in violent clashes at the first sites of the Qarn al-Klassi camp.

Other sources indicated that the clashes that took place near the camp, which is 30 kilometres from the borders of Zinjbar city, the capital of the province, left dead and wounded, and heavy equipment losses on both sides.
