Military confrontations break out in Abyan

ABYAN, May 11 (YPA) – A number of the UAE backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias were killed and injured on Monday in military confrontations in Yemen’s southern province of Abayn, sources said.

The sources affirmed that the confrontation erupted between the STC militias and the Saudi-backed Islah Party militants in Sheikh Salam area of Zinjibar city, which is controlled by the STC.

Several of Islah party militias were killed and injured also in the attack that carried out against the STC militias’ sites in the city. The attack caused in destroying a number of military vehicles from two sides, the sources added.
