Law issued exempting inputs of pharmaceutical production, renewable energy from customs fees

SANAA, May 3 (YPA) – The Law No. 5 of 2020 amending the Customs Law No. 14 of 1990 and its amendments was issued on Sunday.

The amendment of the law included (5) articles that included the exemption from customs duties for the production inputs of pharmaceutical manufacturing and medical supplies (the main and auxiliary raw materials and packaging materials) for pharmaceutical factories and medical supplies factories.

The exemption from customs duties also included the production inputs of renewable energy generation means (the main and auxiliary raw materials and packaging materials for renewable energy generation means).

The last article of it stipulated that this law shall be enforced from the date of its issuance and published in the Official Gazette.
