France: Coronavirus death toll exceeds 24,000

SANAA, April 30 (YPA) – The French Ministry of Health reported 427 new death cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of death toll to 24,087 on Wednesday.

This is a 1.8% increase, slightly more than on Tuesday, when the number of new deaths reached 367.

The number of infections in hospitals fell from 27,484 yesterday to 26,834 today and the number of infected in intensive care rooms has dropped from 4,387 to 4,207, while those numbers have been declining for more than two weeks.

On Tuesday, French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe presented a plan to ease the country’s lockdown measures from May 11th.
