SANAA, April 8 (YPA) – Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos discussed on Wednesday MSF plans to develop a coordination mechanism to confront Corona virus in Yemen.

The move came during his meeting with the two heads of the Spanish and Dutch Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) or Doctors Without Borders Doctors in Yemen.

During the meeting, the officials reviewed a coordination mechanism to facilitate the work and tasks of the Spanish and Dutch MSF for entry medical medicines and supplies to Yemen in light of the precautionary measures against Corona virus.

Tawoos stressed the need to take care and implement precautionary measures to prevent and confront the virus, pointing to the importance of the role of organizations working in the humanitarian and health action, including MSF, in hospitals and outlets, and providing urgent and necessary needs for medical facilities quarantine centers to face the epidemic in various provinces.

He urged the MSF on providing hospitals and outlets with the necessary solutions, medical devices that contribute to the detection of infection, equipping the ICU’s central care rooms and providing respirators.
