Army forces control military sites north Marib city

MARIB, April 1 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces and popular committees at dawn Wednesday managed to control military areas and sites north of Marib city, sources in Marib province told Yemen Press Agency.

“The army forces and the popular committees fully controlled the areas of al-Khasaf, al-Bursh, Qarn Mansour and al-Aqsha’, northern Marib city, and the clashes are now taking place in al-Knais areas,” the sources said.

The forces of Saudi-led coalition withdrew from their positions in those areas towards al-Knais camp, north of the city, the sources added, indicating that the fate of the northern front’s commander in Marib Saleh al-Rosaa, nicknamed “Lion of Islah”, remains unknown.

The sources confirmed that Marib residents became hearing the sounds of clashes very clearly.
