16 takfiris killed by Egyptian air strikes in North Sinai
SANAA, March 28 (YPA) – 16 takfiris were killed and six wounded in an air strike launched by Egyptian warplanes on the strongholds of the Takfiri groups south of Rafah, north of the Sinai desert.
The German news agency DPA quoted an Egyptian security source as saying that the warplanes bombed the strongholds of the Takfiri groups on Friday night, killing 16 members, wounding six others and destroying 3 SUVs.
The security source confirmed that the aerial bombardment came in response and retaliation from the armed groups who detonated five electricity towers in the area of Al-Kharrouba village, Sheikh Zuweid on Thursday evening.
The source added that the Egyptian warplanes are still bombing several previously identified areas in southern Rafah and Sheikh Zuweid.
