MAHRAH, March 22 (YPA) – Ahmed Balhaf, a leader in the Mahrah sit-in, revealed fact that al-Qaeda operatives were present in the province’s directorates in eastern Yemen.
Balhaf confirmed in a tweet on Friday that the Saudi occupation forces have closed the port of Nashtun, justifying that al-Qaeda will carry out terrorist operations in the port.
Balhaf added that these justifications are propaganda and pretext for the continued occupation of the port.
A Saudi intelligence team is filming footage of a documentary that shows Saudi Arabia fighting so-called terrorism in Mahra, Balhaf said.
In early March, Saudi Arabia announced that it forces thwarted an attack targeting an oil tanker off the port of Nashtun, a day after former US National Security Adviser Francis Townsend arrived with a team of so-called Mahrah reconstruction.
