Minister of Water discusses with UNICEF support for water, sanitation projects

SANAA, Feb. 13(YPA) – Minister of Water and Environment Nabil al-Wazir on Wednesday discussed in Sanaa with UNICEF’s Representative Bastien Vigneau the UNICEF-supported projects in the area of water and sanitation.

The meeting dealt with the report of the Ministry’s emergency operations room on interventions to combat the cholera epidemic last January.

At the meeting, the Minister of Water called on UNICEF and donor organizations to fulfill their responsibilities in supporting the Ministry’s efforts to implement sustainable projects in the field of water and sanitation.

Al-Wazir explained that the Ministry has drawn up a plan for 2019-2020 in the field of water and sanitation in coordination with UNICEF, which needs to a quick response to implement the projects included in the plan.
