Yemeni air defenses shoot down coalition’s spy plane in Saada

SAADA, April 30 (YPA) – The Yemeni air defenses on Monday announced downing a reconnaissance aircraft belonging to US-backed, Saudi-led coalition in the northern province of Saada, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The spy plane was shot down while wag flying over Al-Qurad area in Saada, the official added.

The air defenses managed in mid-April to bring down a US-made unmanned reconnaissance aircraft of MQ-9 type belonging to the coalition forces in Hodaida province, western Yemen.

On October 1, 2017, the Yemeni army’s air defenses units shot down the first plane of the same type in the capital Sanaa.
