Houses damaged, farms burned due to coalition shelling on Hodeidah

HODEIDAH, Dec. 28 (YPA) – Mercenary forces hired by Saudi/Emirati-led coalition on Saturday continued to bomb intentionally civilians’ homes and property in Hodeidah province, completely neglecting Sweden Agreement and UN-sponsored ceasefire agreement.

A security source in the province said that a citizen’s farm in al-Jah area of Bayt al-Faqih district was burned by the coalition fire, in conjunction with the flight of the coalition spy planes over the area.

The same area also was shelled by the coalition with artillery and mortar shells.

The coalition forces fired eight artillery shells at citizens’ farms east of al-Tuhita district, while another artillery bombardment targeted al-Jariba and al-Sharaf villages of the besieged al-Durayhimi district, the source said.

The source added that the coalition artillery bombed east of Muthallath al-Odein area in Hays district, south of al-Jah area, and villages in the outskirts of al-Durayhimi.

The coalition forces’ bombing caused great damage to citizens’ homes, farms and property in the bombed areas, according to the source.
