Tribal bloc warns of “Hadi and Al-Islah” forces’ presence in Shabwah

SHABWAH, Dec. 17 (YPA) – A Tribal bloc loyal to the UAE-backed Southern Translational Council in Shabwah province rejected the presence of Hadi’s forces and Islah party militias in all the province’s directorates.

A statement was issued by a consultative meeting held by tribal elders of the Eastern Directorates in Jardan district confirmed their rejection of the Hadi and Al-Islah forces coming from Marib and jawf provinces, demanding their departure.

The tribes of the Eastern Directorates in Shabwah renewed their demands for the adoption of a “military brigade” and the formation of “units” of eastern directorates, which would maintain security there.

The statement called on all Shabwah sheikhs to determine their positions on the presence of Hadi and Al-Islah forces, which control oil fields and sites, and end their military presence from the roads, while calling for the return of the “Shabwah elite” militias to the province.
