Update: Coalition warplanes resume flying in sky of Sanaa

SANAA, Dec. 16 (YPA) – Saudi-led coalition warplanes on Monday evening resumed flying in the sky of the capital Sanaa, and Sana province.

This came at a time the coalition media circulated news about lifting the ban on Sanaa International Airport and re-opening it to civil and medical flights.

“The heard sound was not of medical civilian aircraft, but rather warplanes that belong to the coalition flew heavily in the airspace of the capital and the province,” a navigational source at the airport said.

For his part, Head of the Committee on breaking the siege and lifting the embargo on Sanaa Airport denied the coalition’s allegations of lifting the air embargo imposed since August 2016 on Sanaa airport.

“The aggression coalition’s promises to re-open the airport are a lie and an acknowledgment of the continuation of the blockade,” he said.
