6 dead after gun attack on Japanese NGO vehicle in Afghanistan

SANAA, Dec. 4 (YPA) – Six employees of an aid agency were killed on Wednesday when takfiris opened fire on their car in Jalalabad, capital of Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province.

Afghan officials said six people, including the head of a Japanese non-governmental organization, were killed after unidentified gunmen attacked their car in Jalalabad, capital of the eastern province of Nangarhar.

According to Reuters, Sohrab Qaderi, a member of the provincial council in Nangarhar council, said the gunmen had fled the scene and no group had claimed responsibility.

He pointed out that Dr. Tetsu Nakamura, head of Peace Japan Medical Services, was involved in reconstruction work in irrigation and agriculture in the country.
