Yemen calls Int’l community to condemn coalition crimes against Yemeni children
SANAA, Nov. 21 (YPA) – The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday called on the international community to condemn the crimes and violations committed by the Saudi-led aggression coalition against the Yemeni children.
The ministry said in a statement that the world celebrate International Children’s Day while the Saudi aggression has continued to kill Yemen’s children for more than four years.
“The UN statistics indicate thousands of Yemeni have been killed and wounded and children and more than 12 million others need to the urgent humanitarian assistance,” the statement added.
It pointed out that the increasing insecurity and the destruction of health facilities have led to the outbreak of diseases and epidemics, noting that the aggression caused displacing more than two million children.
The statement reaffirmed the government’s keenness to fulfill its commitments towards the international humanitarian and human rights law to protect and promote the rights of children in Yemen.
The Ministry said that stopping the war and lifting the siege imposed by the coalition states is the only way to end the unprecedented suffering of Yemen’s children.
