4 injured in stabbing attack on performance band in Riyadh

SANAA, Nov. 12 (YPA) – Unknown assailants attacked on Monday evening a performance group in the al-Malaz park in Riyadh, according to videos posted on social media platforms.

The footage showed a show band dressed bright and tight costumes performing on stage, as people gathered around to watch when two people attacked the band members on the stage.

A number of the band and the attackers also were wounded, while the Saudi Red Crescent said that the attack resulted in four stabbings that were dealt with, without specifying the identity of the injured.

The show is part of Riyadh’s entertainment season, which runs until mid-December has sparked controversy because of its events are far from the teachings of Islam.
