EU agrees to extend Brexit

SANAA, Oct. 28 (YPA) – European Union (EU) President Donald Tusk said that the EU has decided to approve the UK’s request to postpone its exit from the bloc for three months until January.

“The 27 EU countries have agreed to accept the UK’s request to extend Brexit from October 31 to January 31,” Tusk wrote on his Twitter account.

Tusk’s announcement came as European diplomats met in Brussels to discuss a new deadline for Britain, which was due to expire just three days later on October 31.
