UAE-backed militias prepare for possible confrontation with Saudi forces in Aden

ADEN, Oct. 23 (YPA) – The so-called “security belt” militias loyal to the UAE on Wednesday evening deployed their snipers and armed groups in several strategic areas of the port city of Aden in anticipation of a possible confrontation with Saudi forces.

“The movements of the security belt militias reflect an unannounced state of tension among followers of the UAE,” sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The security belt militias’ deployment came after the arrival of Saudi and Sudanese military reinforcements to Aden to replace the retreating Emirati forces, the sources added.
