6.4-magnitude earthquake hits Vanuatu coast in South Pacific
SANAA, Oct. 21 (YPA) – An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale struck off the coast of Vanuatu in the South Pacific, the US Geological Survey said on Monday.
According to Xinhua, the quake struck 54 km, and the epicenter was located at a depth of 226.08 km.
About 12 hours ago, a smaller earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 struck about 91 km off the coast of Vanuatu.
No tsunami warnings have been issued so far.
