SANAA, Oct. 2 (YPA) – Amnesty International (AI) on Wednesday welcomed the unilateral initiative by Ansaruallah to release 290 prisoners and detainees, including 42 survivors of Saudi-led coalition airstrikes on the prisoners’ center in Dhamar province.
In a post on its Twitter account, the Amnesty International has called on all parties to release all prisoners and detainees in Yemen and to reveal the fate of the forcibly disappeared.
“We welcome this decision and reiterate our call for the release of all detainees and the disclosure of the fate of the disappeared,” the organization said.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said on Monday that Ansarullah had released 290 prisoners in a unilateral operation.
Early in last month, the Yemeni armed forces’ spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sarie said that the aggression coalition fighter jets bombed a jail for war prisoners in the city of Dhamar, killing more than 150 prisoners and wounding 50 others.
