Washington imposes new sanctions on China

SANAA, Sept. 26 (YPA) – US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Thursday that his country has imposed new sanctions on Chinese companies for their cooperation with Iran.

“The United States is taking more action as part of our campaign to strengthen economic pressure against the Iranian regime and those who contribute to its destabilizing behavior,” Pompeo said on Twitter.

“We are imposing sanctions on some Chinese companies for deliberate participation in major oil transportation deals from Iran … despite US sanctions,” he said.
