11 Iraqi soldiers killed, wounded in armed attack

SANAA, Aug. 29 (YPA) – Four Iraqi soldiers were killed and seven others were wounded on Thursday by unidentified gunmen at a military checkpoint near the town of Karma, Anbar province, Reuters quoted two security sources as saying.

In a separate attack early on Thursday, three policemen were wounded by unidentified gunmen at a security checkpoint in Jalula, Diyala province, northeast of Iraqi capital.

No one has claimed responsibility for either attack.
