JAWF, Aug. 29 (YPA) – The Yemeni army backed by popular committees on Thursday launched an offensive on positions of Saudi-led coalition mercenaries in Jawf province, northern Yemen, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.
According to the official, the army forces attacked the mercenaries at Sabrine district, inflicting heavy casualties on their ranks.
The official confirmed that dozens of the mercenaries were killed and wounded in the attack.
Moreover, at least five Saudi-hired mercenaries were killed and wounded in sniping attacks, which took place in several front of Khub Wasaef district.
