Coalition options have run out, response stage has begun: Minister
SANAA, Aug. 1 (YPA) – Minister of Information in the National Salvation Government Dhaifallah al-Shami on Thursday said that Saudi-led coalition has exhausted all means in its war against the Yemeni people for more than four years, and that the response stage has begun.
Commenting on military operations carried out earlier in the day by the army and popular committees on Al-Jalaa Camp in Aden and a military target in Dammam city of Saudi Arabia, the Minister said in remarks to Al-Mayadeen channel “We moved from the defense stage to the offensive stage.”
He continued “We have just started the second phase of the response to the aggression and if it continues, there will be a third phase of the escalation.”
Al-Shami explained that the army’s operations carried political, military, economic and security messages in full.
He added that the implementation of the operations at the same time, as a double strike, “confirms that the army can control the conduct of operations at home and abroad.”
Regarding the peace efforts, the Information Minister said: “If Saudi Arabia wants peace, we extend our hand to peace and if it continues its aggression, the response will include all the available targets.”
