Parliament reviews draft law on legal protection for security personnel

SANAA, July 31 (YPA) – The Yemeni Parliament on Wednesday reviewed a report submitted by a joint parliamentary committee on a draft law for the year 2013 on the legal protection for security personnel.

The draft law aims at finding a balance to protect security personnel during the performance of their duties from abuse and subject their acts to the rule of law, provide legal protection for them in accordance with the law, and ensure compensation for damage resulting from their actions and for the damage inflicted upon them while performing their duties.
