Zarif: America is practicing economic terrorism against independent peoples

SANAA, July 23 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif confirmed that the US is practicing economic terrorism against independent peoples.

The move came during his meeting with the President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega on Monday.

“Despite all laws, regulations and resolutions, the US government is engaged in economic terrorism against independent peoples,” Zarif said.

The Iranian foreign minister referred to bilateral cooperation with Nicaragua in the fields of trade, industry, energy, agriculture and finance, stressing Iran’s willingness to develop and consolidate bilateral relations.

For his part, the President of the Republic of Nicaragua said in this meeting: We never accept the concept of the US embargo because it is not within the framework of international law and the embargo measures against our people and the Iranian people are unilateral and illegal.
