Nicki Minaj cancels her concert in Saudi Arabia

SANAA, July 10 (YPA) – Nicki Minaj has canceled her Jeddah World Fest performance in Saudi Arabia, Monte Carlo Doualiya reported.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Minaj said that she made her decision after careful reflection and “after better educating myself on the issues”.

This comes after several human rights organizations urged her to reconsider her appearance due to the country’s human rights violations.

There’s been an outcry from the global Muslim community on the music festival being staged in Jeddah, close to the sacred haj period and in proximity to Makkah.
