MARIB, July 4 (YPA) – Fierce clashes broke out on Wednesday evening and lasted until Thursday between militia of Islah Party (Muslim Brotherhood) loyal to Saudi-led coalition and tribal gunmen after a dispute on a land, which left dead and wounded from both parties.
The clashes escalated sporadically after Abida tribe entered the front line and after the security forces of Islah party reinforced their campaign against Al-Ashraf tribes defending their land.
The campaign comes at directives of the local authority of Marib, which is dominated by Islah party, against the background of armed robbery on Al-Ashraf land in the city of Marib by the leader in the party and parliamentarian Mohammed al-Hazmi.
