SANAA, July 1 (YPA) – The Supreme Political Council at its meeting on Monday chaired by the Council’s President Mahdi al-Mashat appreciated positions of a number of Western countries and their positive efforts to suspend arms sales to the aggression coalition against Yemen led by Saudi Arabia.
The Council welcomed any position that would help Yemenis and solidarity with them.
In its meeting, the Council renewed its condemnation of the so-called “Bahrain workshop”, confirming the Republic of Yemen’s principled and firm stance towards the Palestinian cause and its rejection of all concessions made by some puppet regimes in betraying the nation and the cause and their blatant complicity in passing American and Zionist deals aimed at imposing trusteeship and plundering the region’s wealth.
The meeting reviewed the latest developments on the national scene, and hailed the achievements of the army and the popular committees in repelling the repeated attacks of the aggression coalition.
The meeting also touched on the continuation of the aggression coalition and its mercenaries to obstruct implementation of Stockholm Agreement in Hodeidah and impede political process and political solution.
The Council called for stopping the politicization of work of organizations in the country, especially under the existing circumstances.
