Yemeni army repels mercenaries’ attack in Taiz

TAIZ, June 24 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Monday repelled a large-scale attack carried out by mercenaries loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the official, the battle, which took place in Salah area, left dozens of the mercenaries dead and wounded, including military leaders.

He confirmed that the attackers suffered heavy casualties during their attempt.

It is worthy to say that the mercenaries carried this infiltration attempt for the fourth consecutive day and lasted for six hours without making any progress.
