Transport minister: Sanaa Int’l airport to reopen soon

SANAA, April 7 (YPA) – Minister of Transport ,Zakaria Al- Shami on Saturday affirmed that Sanaa international airport will reopen over two coming month.

The remark by Al-Shami  came after the mechanism agreed in Sanaa by the government and the UN envoy to reopen Sanaa airport  is ensured  from secure procedures  by International Civil Aviation Organization(ICAO).

The Saudi-led coalition have been closed the airport for March 2016, compounding the suffering of Yemenis.

The minister’s remarks came during a meeting with The president Saleh al-Sammad ,in the presidential palace here.

The ICAO is a specialized agency of the United Nations. It codifies the principles and techniques of international air navigation and fosters the planning and development of international air transport to ensure safe and orderly growth.
