Taiz’s pro-coalition police military commander kidnapped in Lahj

TAIZ, May 25 (YPA) – Unknown gunmen on Saturday kidnapped military police commander loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Taiz province while heading to Aden province, southern Yemen.

The gunmen intercepted the car of the military police chief appointed by Hadi’s government Jamal Shamiri with his family down Hayjat al-Abd road in in Tor al-Baha district of Lahj province, according to sources in the province.

The gunmen took al-Shamiri to an unknown destination, after they had directed their weapons at him and everyone who was with him in the car, the sources added.
