Yemeni forces launch large-scale attack on Saudi troops in Najran

NAJRAN, May 11 (YPA) –The Yemeni army forces have on Saturday launched a large-scale attack on Saudi military sites in Najran, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the official, the battle took place in Tala’a area, and left dozens of Saudi-hired mercenaries dead and wounded.

Earlier in the day, the Missile Forces of the army fired a Zilzal-1 missile on gatherings of Saudi-hired mercenaries in Tayibat Al’asam military camp of Ajasher desert, causing heavy causalities on their ranks.

Meanwhile, the artillery units have pounded sites and gatherings of Saudi troops in Sawh district, causing direct casualties.

The official added that several Saudi-hired mercenaries were killed when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded during their attempts to advance towards the Alshabakah site.

The army forces have repelled an attack carried out by Saudi-hired mercenaries in Ajasher desert, leaving deaths and injuries in their ranks, the official concluded.
