SANAA, May 4 (YPA) – Member of the Supreme Political Council (SPC) Ahmed al-Rahwi on Saturday stressed on the role of academicians and scientists in achieving general objectives of the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state on the ground.
“Yemen at this critical stage of its history is in dire need of the enlightened minds from academicians and university professors to achieve the strategic objectives adopted by the national vision,” said al-Rahwi during chairing a meeting of academicians from Universities of Sanaa and 21 September.
The SPC member indicated that among the strategic objectives of the national vision is to improve the quality of higher education and its institutions, to increase the enrollment rate, and to enhance equal opportunities for higher education between males and females.
At the meeting, al-Rahwi discussed with the academicians the current situation of the higher education and the difficulties they face and the best ways to overcome them.
The academicians praised the national vision, confirming that it would have a great impact on enhancing the efficiency of state institutions, including Ministry of Higher Education.
