Mohammed Ali al-Houthi: Pompeo’s Statement on Peace is propaganda

SANAA, April 30 (YPA) – Head of the Supreme revolutionary Mohamed Ali Al-Houthi has described  the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s statement on peace in Yemen as “misleading and propaganda.”

He also dismissed any encroachment on the Stockholm Agreement and its implementation plan.

“Pompeo represents the policy of the White House administration, which rejected the congressional resolution (that would withdraw US support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen) and its president vetoed against the resolution,” Mohammed Ali al-Houthi said on his Twitter account on Monday.

“Pompeo’s statement serves the objectives that reject ending the aggression on Yemen. It is an attempt to continue the aggression and to maintain the flow of Gulf funds to the US treasury as declared by Trump.”

He stated that Pompeo’s statement on peace misleads and confirms that the meeting of the quadripartite of aggression was for escalation and not for peace.

“We are in favor of the implementation of the agreement announced by the UN envoy for our consent at the Security Council meeting without any circumvention,” he concluded.
