PM warns UN of humanitarian tragedy on Yemen due to coalition’s siege
SANAA, April 13 (YPA) – Prime Minister Abdul Aziz Saleh bin Habtour on Saturday warned the United Nations of great tragedy suffered by the Yemeni citizen due to the Saudi-led coalition’s siege on ships carrying oil derivatives to entry to Yemeni ports.
During his meeting with the humanitarian coordinator Lise Grande, Habtour discussed a role of the international community in facing the coalition’s hostile act against entry of humanitarian aid and oil derivatives.
“Stopping the war and lifting the siege are continued by the coalition on Yemen is the only step to end the suffering of the Yemeni people and combat cholera epidemic and other diseases,” Habtour said.
The UN official affirmed the UN’s awareness of multiple humanitarian consequences that hit the Yemenis as a result hindering ships carrying oil derivatives.
