Oil Minister, Grande discuss catastrophic effects due to coalition’s seizure of ships carrying oil derivatives
SANAA, April 13 (YPA) – Oil and Minerals Minister Ahmad Abdullah Daras on Saturday discussed with the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen, Lise Grande catastrophic effects because of the ships carrying oil derivatives.
At the meeting with Grande, the minister said that hindering and preventing ships carrying oil derivatives entering to Hodeidah ports by the Saudi-led coalition would lead to health, water, communications, transportation and electricity related to life of the citizen.
Daras called on the United Nations and international organizations to play role to pressure the coalition’s countries to lift the economic siege catastrophic humanitarian crisis that hit the Yemeni people.
Meanwhile, Grandi affirmed she will brief the United Nations and the Security Council on the humanitarian disaster experienced by Yemen due to continuing seizure of vessels of oil derivatives.
