Sudan President hands all his power to military commission

SANAA, April 11 (YPA) – Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has handed over all his powers to a military commission, the Sudanese opposition media reported Thursday morning.

On Thursday morning, the official Sudanese radio reported that an important statement would be issued within hours of the armed forces.

News agency correspondents reported that the demonstrators’ shouting cheers n the streets of Khartoum with the prospect of change.

Sudanese radio broadcasts national songs a while ago, while a group of army officers entered the radio and television building and demanded to join all the waves of channel.

Khartoum Airport has been closed and former defense minister Mohammed Hussein arrested, according to media sources.

The sources added that the numbers of protesters in front of the headquarters in Khartoum increased on Wednesday evening, while intensive reinforcements are located in the vicinity of the radio and television building in Omdurman.

They also noted that heavy deployment of troops and armored vehicles around the presidential palace blocking entry and exit.
