SANAA, April 7 (YPA) – Yemen’s Health Ministry affirmed in an initial toll on Sunday that 11 citizens were killed and 39 others injured in Saudi-led coalition air strikes on Sawan area of the capital of Sanaa.
In a press statement, the ministry said that air strikes carried out by the coalition fighter jets on the residential area is the “war crime.”
The statement strongly condemned the coalition air strikes that targeting residential areas to kill citizens and destroy an infrastructure of the Yemeni people.
“April 7, the World Health Day is a global health awareness day, the coalition have celebrated killing 11 Yemeni citizens and injuring 39 others in air attacks on Sawan area of the capital of Sanaa,” the ministry added.
It called on the international community to hold the full responsibility for the crimes and violations committed by the Saudi-led aggression coalition against the Yemeni people.
Since March 26, 2015, the Saudi-led coalition have intervened in Yemen’s sovereignty and internal affairs, and waged a military operation against the Yemeni army and people in flagrant violations of the international conventions.
