ADEN, April 6 (YPA) -Southern media sources revealed several differences between the Governor of Aden, Ahmed Salem Rabie al-Salam, and the exiled Communications Minister Hadi Lutfi Bashrif, on the background of appointing a new director of the ministry’s office in Aden.
Rabie had directed the office of the Ministry of Labour and the Office of the Ministry of Finance not to approve the new director’s signature, and rejected his appointment as the successor to former Cabinet Office director Samira Abdallah.
Bashrif sent a military force last month to prevent Samira Abdallah from exercising her duties, after she had revealed financial irregularities in the Ministry of Communications that is led by Bashrif.
Sources confirmed that the office of the Ministry of Communications had decided to close the office in protest against the non-payment of their salaries because of disagreements between the governor and the minister
