Yemeni forces score massive advances in Dalea front
DALEA, April 1 (YPA) – The Yemeni army has carried out extensive operations against sites controlled by militants loyal to the Saudi-led invading coalition on the Damt front of Dhalea province, southern Yemen.
The offensive ended with the Yemeni forces liberating a large number of sites and villages and causing heavy casualties in both lives and material to the enemy.
The operations began with a detour towards the north of Qattabah district, west of Damt district, after which a large area of 15 square kilometers of villages, valleys, and mountain ranges were secured.
The following sites were liberated and controlled: Kharabah al-Sabari, Jabal al-Dhari, Beit al-Shawkani, Jabal al-Shami, Adana village, Shami, Al-Hifa village, Kasbah Ramah, the village of Ramah, Jabal Ramah, the Hid Al Qoofl site, Madharh Mountain, Kharabah, Alqamud Sayalh, Aran and the strategic Nasiyah mountain.
Released footage shows the army forces taking a sudden control of enemy positions on this track and the overview of a Yazidi village and nearby villages close to the line between Damt, Morais and Qattabah districts. The Yemeni forces started besieging the militants from that track.
The operation, which ended with the control of the strategic Nasser Mountain, was followed by the securing and restoring of villages and large areas towards Beit al-Yazidi (the general line between Damt, Morais and Qattabah districts) after the enemy’s supply lines were cut off from behind.
Video footage indicates the progress of the army forces amid the collapse of all enemy positions on the Damt front, which is an important defensive line for the enemy.
The footage also showed a state of great confusion and panic in the ranks of the enemy, moments when militants fled their positions towards Damt and Sadreain areas, leaving their military mechanisms behind.
The army forces have been able to advance forward and control enemy positions on this following path as well: Al Rahba Village, Swan Village, Jabal Hasmi, Jabal Al Sabr, Jabal Al Horiah, Arfaf, Jebel Muhsin, Beit Yazidi and Jabal Tuhami.
By clearing all above-mentioned sites, the general line was opened, outskirts of Morais were secured and scores of militants, including leaders, were killed and wounded.
The video showed a state of great satisfaction and joy among the local population, and the liberating army forces were received by a great and warm heroes’ welcome and the hospitality of local residents.
