GULF, March 28 (YPA) – The UAE minister of state for foreign affairs Anwar Gargash on Thursday called for reconsidering the Arab relations with the Zionist entity and openness to it.
In an interview in Dubai, Gargash indicated that the relations between Arab countries and Israel need to be transformed in order to make progress towards peace with the Palestinians.
He said that “many years ago, the Arab countries’ decision not to have contact with Israel was very very wrong.”
These comments are the first of their kind for a senior UAE official, and come just days after US President Donald Trump’s decision to annex the occupied Syrian Golan to the Israeli entity.
