FM, Lise Grande discuss doubling efforts to defeat worsening humanitarian situations

SANAA, March. 25 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf Abdullah met on Monday with the UN Humanitarian Coordinator, Lise Grande in Sanaa to doubling efforts to defeat worsening humanitarian situations.

At the meeting, the officials discussed the latest developments about the humanitarian efforts and role of the UN organizations to enhance humanitarian in Yemen.

The minister said that the National Salvation Government is committed to facilitate for entry of all humanitarian aid to the Yemeni ports.

Sharaf renewed that a number of the ships loaded with humanitarian aid and oil derivatives are being hindered by the Saudi-led coalition, despite the United Nations’ permits to inter to the Yemeni ports.

“Coalition’s blockade aims to confuse the internal situation in the provinces that are not occupied and create of financing crises to hinder the ongoing efforts to build confidence in the peace process,” Sharaf added.

Meanwhile, Grandi affirmed that the United Nations and its programs are committed to make all efforts for alleviating the suffering the Yemeni citizens.
