Yemeni Foreign Ministry deplores remarks of Saudi information ministry spokesman

SANAA, March 25 (YPA) – An official source at Foreign Ministry on Monday deplored statements made by spokesman of Saudi Ministry of Information, in which he noted that the political solution is a principle agreed upon by all regional and international parties except Ansaruallah.

“The whole world knows the fact that Saudi Arabia has never been with the political solution or with the interest of the Yemeni people,” the source said in a statement to Yemen News Agency (Saba).

He added that Saudi Arabia intervened militarily in Yemen on false pretexts and in order to achieve undeclared goals, after the political parties were just around the corner to reach a political agreement.

“The national forces have been and still adhere to the option of a just and honorable peace, and took positive steps during the peace rounds, whether in Geneva consultations or Kuwait negotiations or in the recent consultations in Stockholm,” the source said.

He affirmed that the national delegation made great concessions in order to prevent bloodshed and end the suffering of Yemeni people, “while Riyadh and its mercenaries are the ones who were and still are obstructing the peace efforts and evading commitments to agreements.”
