Yemeni army forces control several military positions in Bayda

BAYDA, March 24 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Sunday launched an offensive on sites of militants loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Bayda province, central Yemen, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the official, the army forces controlled several positions were controlled by coalition-backed militants in Qaniah district.

The battle, which lasted for several hours left dozens of the militants dead and wounded, the official said.
