NAJRAN, March 21 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces on Thursday repelled a large-scale attack by Saudi-backed militias in Najran front, inflicting heavy losses on the militias, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.
The artillery and snipping unit of the Yemeni army foiled an offensive by the Saudi army militias in Northern Rushaha site, killing and injuring several of militiamen and destroying three military vehicles, according to the official.
Various aircrafts of Saudi-led coalition waged several sorties and airstrikes to back the militants, but did achieve any results, while the Yemeni artillery continue to shell the enemy sites in al-Hamad area, the official added.
Earlier in the day, the Yemeni artillery and rocketry forces targeted militants of Saudi army in al-Ajasher desert in the same front, which left several dead and wounded in their ranks.
