Police Commissioner: All 50 victims of terrorist attack on Christchurch mosques have been identified
SANAA, March 21 (YPA) – New Zealand Police Commissioner, Mike Bush has announced that all 50 victims of the terrorist attack on two mosques in Christchurch have been identified, New Zealand news Radio reported on Thursday.
Earlier, 21 of those killed were reported of the unprecedented terrorist attack in the country. Their bodies were handed over to their relatives.
“The process of identification of the 50 victims has been completed and all their immediate relatives have been informed,” Bush said.
Last Friday, an armed terrorist shot at worshippers in two mosques in Christchurch (South Island, New Zealand), killing 50 people and injuring 50 others.
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has described the incident as a terrorist attack. A man named Brenton Tarrant, 28, from Australia was charged with murder and the court extended his detention on Saturday until April 5.
