official in Saudi-backed exiled Hadi’s authorities reveals UAE conspiracies in Socotra island

SOCOTRA, March. 19 (YPA) – Socotra island governor appointed by Saudi-backed exiled Hadi’s authorities vowed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) occupation forces of training and establishing  militias in the province.

According to local sources, the governor warned the UAE of a activity and conspiracies carried out in Socotra archipelago that aim at taking over the Island , which is classified as the World’s Heritage Site.

“I will not allow presence of troops the so-called of “security belt” on island as long as I am a responsible for the island,” the governor added.

stressing that he would not allow the establishment of a “security belt” in the Socotra archipelago as long as he is responsible for the island.

In recent weeks, the UAE has transferred dozens of Socotra residents to Aden city for military training, ignoring Haid’s authority.

In April 2018, the UAE sent troops and military vehicles to take over airport and port of Socotra, breaking out an unprecedented crisis between Hadi’s authorities and the UAE occupation forces.
