WFP Distributes Food aids In Amran
AMRAN, Mar.29 (YPA) – World Food Program (WFP) started on Thursday distributing food assistance through the school feeding and humanitarian relief project.
The assistance targeted more than 24,743 displaced families affected by the aggression as well as the poorest families and the disabled and people with special needs in six directorates, distributed through more than 58 centers, coordinator of the school feeding Mujahid Al-Banaa said.
Amran Governorate Undersecretary, Amin Faras pointed out the importance of delivering aid to the target families, which will contribute to alleviate their suffering.
He noted the assistance of the World Food Program to Yemen and the efforts of the nutrition project in the distribution of aid, calling on the international community and humanitarian organizations to double aid in view of the worsening humanitarian situation in the country due to continued aggression and all-out blockade.
